On the Next Episode of HOARDERS…
For what it’s worth, this is NOT an early Christmas post. It’s a very, very late one.
I could have posted this nine months ago when I made it, but instead I filed it away with other half-baked sketches and ideas that never saw the light of day.
I’m a sketch hoarder.
I have a hard time finishing things. I can doodle and get some ideas going, but I can never quite get things off the ground.
I’m not proud of it.
So I’m rebooting this website/blog to try to organize my brain and make things. I’m hoping it will give me some structure and help me work through some stuff.
Ghost (the platform I’m using) accommodates subscriptions and paid tiers; however, I’m not turning on any paid options at the moment. I might do that later if it makes sense, but let’s see if I can get a rhythm going first.
I hereby state the following goals:
- Make more art using physical media - I’m not against digital art, I just want to try to spend less time looking at a screen.
- Landscapes - I want to get better at them.
- Animation - I’m trying to learn.
Let’s see how this goes! If you are looking at this post in the distant future and there are no new posts after this, you will know that I crashed and burned miserably, much like a couple of the random doodles below.
This site will mostly be thoughts, photos, and sketches for what I’m working on now. But if you want to see more random doodles and unfinished projects from my hoarder stash, I’ll be dropping some of that on my Instagram this week.
